Xiaomi announced its 12 and 12 Pro phones back in December 2021, and they finally released globally early in 2022.
The three phones confirmed at launch were the Xiaomi 12 Pro, the Xiaomi 12, and the Xiaomi 12X – though the latter hasn’t yet been confirmed to get a European release. At this stage, it’s very unlikely, though the Xiaomi 12 Lite made it to Europe.
The 12 and 12 Pro were some of the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. They also boast a 50Mp triple-camera set-up, which is capable of 8K recording.

When will the Xiaomi 12 series be released?
The Xiaomi 12 series came out in China back in December 2021.
In the UK, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have been on sale since April 2022.
Typically, Xiaomi doesn’t sell its handsets in the US, so we don’t expect the phones to be on sale in America.
How much does the Xiaomi 12 series cost?
The regular Xiaomi 12 starts from £749, with different configurations for RAM and storage depending on the region.
