Samsung’s next Unpacked event is set to kick off on 10 August, and leaks, rumours and even the ‘unfold your world’ tagline of the event point towards the reveal of Samsung’s latest big-screen foldable, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
It’s rumoured to appear alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the upgraded Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and a new pair of Galaxy Buds too.
While pre-orders aren’t live just yet, it’s already possible to reserve the big-screen foldable at a discount – as long as you’re in the US, that is.
We outline everything you need to know about getting your hands on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 right here, but we also cover the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 pre-orders and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 pre-orders separately for those interested.
We also cover the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 rumours for those yet to catch up on what’s in store.
When will the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 be released?
It’s largely expected that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be revealed at Samsung’s Unpacked event, confirmed to take place on 10 August 2022 at 9am ET/6am PT/2pm BST.
If it is announced, it’ll likely go up for pre-order immediately with release a few weeks later – that was the case with the release of 2021’s Z Fold 3, anyway. The Z Fold 3 was announced on 11 August 2021 and released on 27 August, and it’s likely we’ll see something similar this time around.
How much will the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 cost?
Nothing has been revealed about the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s potential pricing just yet, but it’s safe to assume that it’ll cost a similar amount to the current Galaxy Z Fold 3.
For reference, here’s how much the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will set you back right now:
256GB: $1,799/£1,599/€1,799/₹149,999512GB: $1,899/£1,699/€1,899/₹157,999
There is always the possibility that Samsung will slash the price with the upcoming model – it did reduce the price of the Z Fold 3 by $200/£200 compared to its predecessor, and reducing the price further will no doubt help Samsung shift units of its latest foldable, but that’s yet to be confirmed.

How to reserve the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US
Samsung likes to take the unusual route of letting you reserve upcoming products ahead of announcement, and the same can be said of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 – as long as you’re based in the US, that is.
US-based fans can reserve the Galaxy Z Fold 4 via the Samsung website right now. It’s not a pre-order, so you’re not committed to anything, but it does mean you’ll be among the first that can pre-order the device once it has been announced.
To further sweeten the deal, anybody that reserves a Galaxy Z Fold 4 ahead of its announcement will get an impressive $100 discount. If you want to reserve the phone along with the next Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds, you can get a tempting $200 off your order.
Oh, and you’ll also be able to customise your smartphone with exclusive colours too.
Sadly, that deal seems to be unavailable anywhere else – the closest you’ll get in the UK is the option to register your interest for a chance to win a £1,000 Samsung voucher.
Where will the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 be sold?
There aren’t any confirmed retailers at this pre-announcement stage, but we can predict where it’s likely to go on sale in the US and UK based on availability of the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
With that being said, here’s everywhere you’ll likely be able to buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 at release:
US
UK
We’ll be sure to update this section once retailers are confirmed, so check back frequently for the latest details if you’re keen to pick up a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 at release.
