The Realme 8 Pro is yet another promising handset to join the list of phones announced this week, following launches from both OnePlus and Xiaomi. The phone is available to pre-order now, with sales beginning 31 March.
Realme announced the launch at its 24 March virtual event, alongside the launch of the Realme 8 which will release only in India – one of the brand’s most prominent markets.
While the Realme 8 won’t be making a debut in the UK, there are a few things UK shoppers can look forward to in the Realme 8 Pro.
The phone headlines with a massive 108Mp main camera that uses 9-in-1 pixel binning to produce high-quality 12Mp final images. You also get an 8Mp ultrawide sensor, 2Mp macro, and a new 2Mp black-and-white sensor. Read more about the Realme 8 Pro’s camera and features.
Under the hood, Realme preserves the Snapdragon 720G chip, which you might recognize from the Realme 7 Pro. The 8 Pro’s 6.4in FHD+ AMOLED display will also offer a standard 60Hz display, though a 180Hz touch sampling rate for smoother gaming. You also get 50W fast charging, which Realme claims will charge 50% of the 4500mAh battery in 17 mins.

How much does the Realme 8 Pro cost?
The Realme 8 Pro will be available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for £279, matching the price of its 7 Pro predecessor.
The phone is available in Infinite Black, Punk Black and Infinite Blue. The Realme 8 Pro also ships with the charger.
Where to buy the Realme 8 Pro in the UK
UK shoppers can pre-order the Realme 8 Pro directly from Realme ahead of the 31 March release, where shipping is free. The handset should arrive within 7-10 working days. Students also get 5% off.

We’ve previously seen the Realme 7 available at Laptop’s Direct, so it’s possible we might see stock emerge there soon, though it hasn’t been confirmed.
We’ll update this article if we see any other retailers offering the Realme 8 Pro.
It’s unlikely the Realme 8 Pro will be available on contract in the UK, as other Realme phones haven’t been available on UK networks previously. We’re looking at the best SIM-only deals here. Keep in mind, the Realme 8 Pro is a 4G phone.
