The Black Friday sales season is here! The best deals are often not on Amazon. The prices shown below are the best available now, though you may need to buy quickly as some deals will sell out.
Unafraid to punch above its weight, OnePlus launched the new OnePlus 8T phone a day after Apple unveiled the iPhone 12, announcing its latest flagship during an online event on 14 October.
While the 8T doesn’t have a larger 8T Pro sibling, it does boast a flat 6.55in, 120Hz display, and ditches the curved glass of the standard 8. There’s also a sizeable 4,500mAh battery and 65W Warp Charge, up from the OnePlus 8’s 30W.
You can expect Oxygen OS 11 on Android 11, all powered by a top-tier Snapdragon 865 chip. As for cameras, the 8T returns with the familiar 48Mp main camera on the back, along with a 16Mp ultra-wide, 5Mp macro and 2Mp mono.
How much does the OnePlus 8T cost?
While there isn’t a Pro model of the 8T, the phone is available from OnePlus itself in two configurations and price-points:
OnePlus 8T 8GB/128GB – £549 – unavailable in the US
OnePlus 8T 12GB/256GB – £649/US$749
That’s a very impressive starting price – and £50/$50 less than the equivalent OnePlus 8 models. In our review of the OnePlus 8T we called it an “incredibly competitive budget flagship”.

Students and staff can also get a discount up to 10% as a part of OnePlus’s Education Program. You will need a .edu email address to register, or you can register via Student Beans.

Where to buy the OnePlus 8T SIM-free
You can buy the OnePlus 8T directly from OnePlus wherever you are, and in the UK it’s also available from John Lewis and Amazon.

Where to buy the OnePlus 8T on contract
In the UK, OnePlus phones are usually stocked exclusively by Three in terms of the networks, but it doesn’t look like it’s decided to pick up the 8T. Still, if you know you want a contract it’s worth checking as Three remains the most likely UK network to carry the 8T.
In the US, you can buy the OnePlus 8T+ 5G from T-Mobile. You can mostly ignore the ‘+’ in the name, as this is the same phone, but with full support for T-Mobile’s 5G network and the addition of an official IP68 rating.
