So you wanna pick up a free Nintendo Switch with your mobile contract? We don’t blame you. The versatile gaming console is one of the most popular systems around.
The Switch costs £259.99 while the Switch Lite costs £199.99. Nintendo also released the Switch OLED Model in October. The upgraded Switch OLED offers a larger 7in display, better audio, and a wider stand for £309.99 in the UK, and $349.99 in the US.
While that’s no chump change, the good news is you can bundle the system with certain phone contract providers for free. Kind of.
Think of it as a financing solution that lets you split the cost of the Switch across your phone plan. That way you don’t have to pay the full amount upfront – in the same way phone contracts let you pay for a new handset over time.
While the bundled Switch shouldn’t be the only reason to sign up for a new phone, if you’re already in the market for a phone and want the console, it’s a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.
Below you’ll find all the mobile phone retailers and networks bundling the Nintendo Switch console with its phone deals.
Free Nintendo Switch/Switch OLED Model from Virgin
Virgin also bundles the Nintendo Switch and now, the brand new Switch OLED with select handsets!
Nintendo Switch OLED Model contract bundles
Switch OLED bundles start as low as £21 per month with the Oppo A54 5G with no upfront cost. The A54 5G is an excellent budget 5G phone with a 90Hz display and long battery life – see our full review. You can also pick up the Nintendo Switch OLED for free with these handsets:
Nintendo Switch Neon contract bundles
If you’re after the classic Switch, check out these handset bundles – again without any upfront costs. There’s also a Galaxy A12 bundle with the Neon Switch and Mario Kart Deluxe from £22 per month.
Virgin’s cheapest plans are over a 36-month term, but you can opt for a 24-month term if you don’t mind paying slightly more.

Free Nintendo Switch with Mobile Phones Direct
One of the best places for phone bundles is Mobile Phones Direct. There you’ll find the Neon Red and Blue Switch tied in with popular handsets like the iPhone 12 and 12 mini, iPhone SE (2020), iPhone 11, the Galaxy A12 and A32, various phones from Oppo, Sony and Nokia, and more.
Keep in mind, Mobile Phones Direct mails the console out 14 days after the phone so don’t panic if you don’t receive both at once.
Add Nintendo Switch OLED, Nintendo Switch, or Nintendo Lite with EE contracts
If you’re with EE, you don’t even need to buy a new handset to grab the console – simply add the Nintendo Switch as an add-on to your plan.
Unlike the other plans above, this option clearly indicates how much of the cost you’re spreading each month. There is a £10 upfront and payments are spread over 11 months.
EE also offers Switch accessories and games via the same Add-On program. Choose from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pokemon Shield or Sword, Animal Crossing and other options.
Explore EE’s gaming Add-ons here and the full range of Add Ons here, which includes Beats audio, smart speakers, Google smart displays and more.
EE also has plans that bundle Netflix for free and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with on select plans. Take a look.
Free Nintendo Switch from Fonehouse
Fonehouse is another great destination for Nintendo Switch bundles. You can pick up the Nintendo Switch with handsets like the iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone Xr, iPhone SE (2020) as well as the Galaxy S20 FE and OnePlus Nord. Plans start at just £25.50 per month.
Many of its deals have no upfront costs, but that typically means a higher monthly rate.
