In a week’s time the next Marvel movie – Thor: Love and Thunder – will debut in cinemas across the globe. The fourth Thor film promises tons of humour, with Taika Waititi back in the director’s chair.

When is Thor: Love and Thunder available to stream?
No date has officially been set for Thor: Love and Thunder’s streaming release, but we can estimate when it will be.
The film releases in cinemas in the UK on 7 July 2022, and in the US on 8 July 2022. The time between Marvel films hitting cinemas and then releasing at home have differed for past releases. For example, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness took 47 days to hit Disney+, whilst Eternals took a little longer at 70 days.
The date may depend on how well the film performs in theatres. Therefore, we expect Thor: Love and Thunder to be available for streaming either at the end of August 2022, or in the middle of September 2022.
When it is released, it will be exclusive to Disney+. If you have not signed up, you can do so on the Disney+ website for $7.99/£7.99 per month, or $79.99/£79.90 per year. You can use this subscription to stream the likes of Only Murders in the Building and Ms. Marvel.
When will Thor: Love and Thunder release on VOD?
Disney also hasn’t confirmed a date for the VOD release, but we do know that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is coming to platforms around a month after it released on Disney+.
Therefore, if our estimation for the Disney+ release date is correct, we expect Thor 4 to be available to buy and rent either in September 2022 or October 2022.

We also don’t know the DVD/Blu-ray release date for Thor: Love and Thunder. We do know that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse will release in these formats at the same time it hits VOD stores.
