Adventure Time fans start getting excited, because you’ll soon be able to venture into distant lands once again. The latest short series of specials – Adventure Time: Distant Lands – is hitting HBO Max in just a few weeks time. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about this series, including the air date, footage and plot summaries.

Adventure Times: Distant Lands release date
There are four one-hour specials, and the first one – BMO – is being released on 25 June 2020. The other three episodes don’t currently have release dates beyond ‘2020’, but we do know the titles:

Wizard City
Together Again
When the release dates are announced, we’ll update this article. The series is created by Pendleton Ward, creator of the original series, and is produced by Cartoon Network Studios.
Plot and trailers
Each episode will focus around different characters in the series. BMO is the premiere episode, and it follows the lovable videogame console of the same name who is travelling through space, when they come across a mysterious alien life form. You can watch the first few minutes below:

Obsidian follows Marceline and Princess Bubblegum as they journey to the Glass Kingdom to prevent a catastrophe. Wizard City stars Peppermint Butler as an inexperienced Wizard School student as he attempts to prove his innocence from mysterious events that happen on campus. Finally Together Again shows Finn and Jake reuniting their brotherly bond and going on an adventure.
